My first post.
Lately I’ve been struggling a bit with drawing. I tried to draw one of my characters but I had such a hard time, so I just drew a different one. I’m trying to decide how I want my characters to look, act, and to decide the rules of the world, before I start my comic. I don’t want to make any drastic changes in the middle of the story, but I don’t want to take forever to start it.
One of my sisters told me that I should basically just jump in head first, but I don’t wanna hit my head!
Yesterday, I was on YouTube watching a bunch of animation memes and compared to all the other styles… I felt mine was kind of dull. Not necessarily that my art style is bad, it’s just I realized that mine felt like I didn’t have a complete style. I’m not sure if that’s just typical artist anxiety, but I also had a lot of ideas for characters that I probably won’t ever use.
I know that from now to next year my style won’t be the same, but I feel a little unprepared to start my comics this second. Plus I still have a lot to learn about drawing!
I want to get the game sims 4 on my computer so I can customize my characters without all the hassle of drawing them all over and over again, but I’m worried it might slow down my computer.
Also when I start making my comics I plan to get a patreon, post sketches, and to even make merchandise sometime! I’m gonna work on drawing 3/5 times a week, and being bolder when it comes stylistic choices, like proportions!
Thanks for reading!
